Smart Women choose 'Green' Careers Part II:
Creating a Sustainable Career
 Group Coaching Taster Session
 Monday 25th October 2010 | 6-9PM
Location: The Forge/Caponata (nearest tube: Camden Town/Mornington Crescent)
18:00 : Registration
18:30 : Workshop
20:45 : Q&A

Are you are :-
  • contemplating a career change
  • searching for a new job you're passionate about
  • seeking to create better opportunities for yourself

Do you want to :-
  • move forward in your career in your current organization
  • improve how you sell yourself to your current and future boss(es) and clients
  • create and start filling a pipeline of opportunities that will result in what you really want in your life and career

The more clearly you can articulate your unique vision for your work, your life, and your world - and what needs to be taken care of to achieve it - the more powerful the impact you will have.

One of the best ways to develop your career is working in groups of like-minded peers who are in a similar place in their lives.  But don't take our word for it - try it for yourself!

Simply sharing your stories in a safe, supportive environment will have a powerful impact, helping you hear yourself (and others) differently, so you can identify what is holding you back and what needs to change in order for you to move forward more efficiently and effectively.

This is a 3-hour taster group coaching session, for a maximum of 20 people, to help you understand what's possible by working with an experienced coach and a group of your peers.  You will learn what coaching is, some basic coaching skills, the deceptively simple process of telling your story, then using the skills you've learned to deepen your understanding of yourself, what you uniquely bring into an organization, and what is the best use of your talents, skills and passion.  This will be a very practical session designed to let you engage in conversations that will take your job search and career development efforts to a new level.

Pre-work:-
  • Please come to the workshop prepared to discuss a current career development issue or challenge you wish to work on in a group
  • The Wheel of Career Development will be used as the basis of the session. Please begin to think about 'Wheel' prior to the session. The wheel of career development can be found here

The Forge, located in London, is a brand new architecturally-designed sustainable building. All spaces have been created with environmental concerns in mind and feature natural insulation and ventilation systems, the extensive use of sustainable materials and solar thermal panels for hot water. The centrepiece is a stunning glazed courtyard with its own ‘living wall’ of plants which improves the air quality throughout the venue.

The Forge is a not-for-profit family-run venue designed by Burd Haward Architects who worked with Arup Acoustics for the delicate acoustic result.

The Forge is part of a larger multi-use space which consists of Caponata, a Sicilian Ristorante, Osteria and Bar which serves delicious food, all handmade and prepared on-site.

Caponanta and The Forge are currently our official venue partners.
